County, PA. Vinnie Knappenberger's history written in 1916 says,
"tradition states that Adam finally settled in Wyoming County, PA.
Adam Knappenburg and his descendants spell their name Knuppenburg."
A family Bible that was owned by Stanley K. Knox of Olympia, Washington in
1981, lists the family name as "Knuppenburger". In this Bible
is listed Adam and Eunice's marriage date and the births and marriages of
their ten children plus two deaths. Four of their sons fought in the
Civil War.
