This couple and many of their children are buried in St. Luke’s Cemetery, Clinton County, Indiana.  They had twelve children.

Eli married again after Elemina’s death to Melissa MARTIN SWOPE on 13 December 1909 in Clinton County, Indiana.  Melissa was born 9 March 1867 in Kansas and died sometime between 1910 and 1920 in Clinton County, Indiana.  The 1920 census indicates that Eli was 76 years old and a widow at that time.
