GENERAL INFORMATION

Lucinda Knappenberger, daughter of Henry Knappenberger and Hannah PAINTER, was born 31 January 1825 in Franklin Township, Westmoreland County, PA and died 20 February 1873 in Sciota Township, McDonough County, Illinois.  She married Israel ALLSHOUSE, son of Isaac Israel Allshouse and Magdalene Margaret Miniam, on 29 February 1844 in Westmoreland County, PA.  Israel was born 4 February 1820 in Salem Township, Westmoreland County, PA and died 13 March 1904 in Sciota, McDonough County, Illinois.  This family left Westmoreland County in 1855 to move to McDonough County, Illinois where they farmed.  They are buried in Spring Creek Cemetery in McDonough County, Illinois.  This couple had five children.

Lucinda Knappenberger was born into the world on the 30th of January in the Year of Our Lord 1825, to Mr. Henrich Knappenberger and his beloved wife Hanna, née Bender, husband and wife, and in the same year on July 10th purified through the washing of Holy Baptism, and thereby incorporated into the Christian Church, the Reverend Mr. N.P. Hacke, Pastor in the Reformed tradition, officiating Witnesses to this sacred act were her beloved mother herself.  In Franklin Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.

MARGARET ALLSHOUSE (1845-1912)

Margaret Allshouse was born 31 July 1845 in Greensburg, Westmoreland County, PA and died 1 September 1912 in Jackson, Gentry County, Missouri.  She married John Philip WORKMAN on 16 February 1861 in McDonough County, Illinois.  John Philip, son of Henry John Workman, was born 29 September 1836 in Hesse Darmstadt, Germany and died 21 April 1881 in Gentry County, Missouri.  They moved to Missouri in 1867.  This couple is buried in Empire Cemetery, King City, Gentry County, Missouri.  They had eleven children.

1. Mary Ann Workman known as “Annie” was born 16 September 1862 in Sciota, McDonough County, Illinois and died 6 February 1933 in Gentry County, Missouri.  She married George Manary HOLEMAN, son of Isaac G. Holeman (IV) and Mary A. Johnson, on 14 March 1883 in Gentry County, Missouri.  George was born 1 June 1859 in Greenbush, Warren County, Illinois and died 8 April 1942 in King City, Gentry County, Missouri.  They are buried in King City Cemetery, Gentry County, Missouri.  They had five children.

a. Hilbert Cleveland Holeman was born 23 May 1884 in Gentry County, Missouri and died 6 February 1974 in Gentry County, Missouri.  He married Eva Clark MILLER on 22 February 1905 in Gentry County, Missouri.  Eva sometimes known as “Clarkie” was born 12 July 1882 in Gentry County, Missouri and died 1971.  They had three children: Loren George Monroe (12 December 1905 – May 1985) who married Mary “Marie” WILSON (19 March 1911-11 September 1968), Mary Elizabeth also known as “Lorene” (born 8 February 1907) and Hilbert Leland (24 December 1914-1921).  They also had an infant son who was born and died in 1920.  This family is buried in King City Cemetery.

b. Charles Elvin Holeman was born 3 April and died 2 August 1887 in Gentry County, Missouri.  He is buried in Halls Cemetery.

c. Emma May Holeman was born 12 February 1888 in Gentry County, Missouri and died 6 August 1961.  She married Myron GIBSON in 1907 who was born about 1885 in Missouri.  They had seven children: Virgil Myron (29 September 1908 – 3 October 2003), Charles M. (born 17 January 1913), Lena Mae (24 April 1918 – 6 October 1923 of burns) and her twin Lloyd Marion (24 April 1918 – 18 February 2003), Bonnie Jean (born 1923), Mary Isabelle (born about 1928) and Betty Berndyne.

d. Orval Marion Holeman nicknamed “Doc” was born 8 August 1894 in Gentry County, Missouri and died 6 February 1981 in Gentry County, Missouri.  He married Jennie “Bernice” TAYLOR, daughter of William Franklin and Sibyl Hannah Wheatley.  Bernice was born 10 February 1897 in Gentry County, Missouri and died 11 March 1936.  They are buried in Star Chapel Cemetery in Andrew County, Missouri.  They had six or possibly seven)children: Virginia May (born 29 December 1916), an infant son who was stillborn in 1919, Myrtle T. (listed as 1 month old in 1920 census but not listed in the 1930 census), Doris Marion (born 1921), George William (born 1923), Jack Alfred (born 1927) and Mary Anna (born 1933).

e. Mary Ann Holeman was born 8 August 1899 in Gentry County, Missouri and died 4 May 1990 in Gentry County, Missouri.  She married William “Dale” SCHOTTEL on 11 November 1919 in Gentry County, Missouri.  Dale was born 4 July 1900 in Missouri and died July 1987 in Andrew County, Missouri. They had three children:  Emma Alene Schottel (born 1920), Robert Eldon Schottel (born 1923), and Delores Ann Schottel (born 1930).

2. Emma Catherine Workman was born 27 December 1863 in McDonough County, Illinois and died 11 November 1950.  She married Isaac Marion SIMMONS, son of W.J. and Sallie Simmons, on 10 October 1888 in Gentry County, Missouri.  Isaac was born 3 June 1854 in Illinois and died 14 April 1936 in Gentry County, Missouri.  This couple is buried in King City Cemetery, Gentry County, Missouri.  This couple had four children.

a. Elma A. Simmons was born about June 1899 in Gentry County, Missouri.  Nothing further is known of her at this time.

b. Roy Melvin Simmons was born 27 June 1892 in Gentry County, Missouri and died 15 March 1977 in Gentry County, Missouri.  He first married Elizabeth Cly COGDILL, daughter of John William Cogdill and Elizabeth Cly McGee, on 24 September 1913.  She was born 5 November 1895 in Gentry County, Missouri and died 26 April 1922 in Gentry County, Missouri.  Roy and Lizzie had three sons:  William M. Simmons (12 April 1915-16 April 1915), Herschel Melvin Simmons (21 April 1916-13 April 1991) who married Verna Ellen BOATWRIGHT, and Cleo Jessie Simmons (1920).  Roy then married Ottie B. MEEKER, daughter of Frank Meeker, about 1926.  Ottie was born 1899 in Missouri and died 7 September 1945 in Gentry County, Missouri.  Roy and Ottie are buried in King City Cemetery.  They had two sons:  Eugene Simmons (born about 1926) and Isaac Melvin Simmons.

c. Ada C. Simmons was born May 1895 in Gentry County, Missouri.  Nothing further is known of her at this time.

d. Clark Marion Simmons who was born 19 May 1896 in Gentry County, Missouri and died 15 September 1985 in Gentry County, Missouri.  He married Hazel Dell PHILLIPPE in 1816 in Gentry County, Missouri.  Hazel was born 6 June 1899 in Gentry County, Missouri and died 15 June 1981 in Gentry County, Missouri.  They had two children:  Emma J. (born about 1919 and died prior to 1930) and Carroll Bradford Simmons (1922-2000) who married Laura Luella BURKS on 1 June 1947.

3. Henry William Workman was born 12 January 1866 in Gentry County, Missouri and died 31 October 1923 in Gentry County, Missouri.  Henry married Fannie LAWSON, daughter of H. and A.M. Lawson, on 3 March 1897 in Gentry County, Missouri.  Fannie was born November 1875 in Missouri and died 26 June 1952.  They had eight children.  This couple along with many of their children are buried in King Cemetery, Jackson Township, Gentry County, Missouri.

a. Odessa “Pearl” Workman was born 1 April 1898 in Gentry County and died 24 May 1963 there.  She married Alvin Charles LINDLEY, son of Oscar W. Lindley and Mary D. Rinehold, on 30 January 1918.  He was the brother of Lewis Lawrence Lindley who married Bertha Hazel Workman [see below].  Alvin was born 26 December 1896 in Buchanan County, Missouri and died 27 September 1954.  They had three children:  Lucille Lindley (born about 1919-died prior to 1930), Charles Oscar Lindley (19 May 1920-17 April 1945), and Russell Wayne Lindley (13 April 1923-16 January 1960) who first married Anabel PRICE (26 July 1926-2 October 1950) and second married Laura Lee STARKEY (born 1925).

b. Lenora Mae Workman known as “Nora” was born 15 September 1899 in Gentry County, Missouri and died 13 June 1988 in Buchanan County, Missouri.  She married Clyde Henderson SWIFT on 15 September 1927 in Gentry County, Missouri.  Clyde was born 16 February 1901 in Missouri and died 28 January 1977 in Missouri.  They had three children:  Kenneth Carroll Swift (born 1928), Frances Mae Swift (born 1929), Doris Nadine Swift (born 1934).

c. Austin “Dale” Workman was born 21 December 1901 in Gentry County, Missouri and died 19 March 1954.  Dale married Grace BLESSING on 21 December 1927.  Grace was born 31 May 1905 in Iowa.

d. Bertha “Hazel” Workman was born 15 April 1904 in Gentry County, Missouri and died 14 April 1979 there.  She married Lewis Lawrence LINDLEY, son of Oscar W. Lindley and Mary D. Rinehold, on 17 November 1925 in Missouri.  Lewis was born 15 August 1898 in Buchanan County, Missouri and died 21 March 1991.  They had two sons:  Lawrence Edward Lindley (born 1927) and Clayton Lewis Lindley (born 1932).

e. Charles Laverne Workman known as “Verne” was born 27 September 1906 in Gentry County, Missouri and died on 6 February 1994 in Gentry County, Missouri.  He married Naomi DANIELS, daughter of Andrew K. and Nellie M. Daniels, on 21 September 1939.  Naomi was born 12 February 1909 in Gentry County, Missouri and died 19 January 1994 in Gentry County, Missouri.  They had a son named Jimmie Workman.

f. Ruby Velma H. Workman was born 2 March 1909 in Gentry County, Missouri and died 4 August 1998 in Missouri.  She married James “Bert” SPAINHOWER on 27 December 1929.  Bert was born 20 February 1909 in Missouri and died 11 November 1992 in Missouri.

g. William Carl Workman known as “Carl” was born 20 January 1911 in Gentry County, Missouri and died 8 August 1986.  He married Veva HELTZEL on 24 August 1941.  Vera was born in 1916.  They had a daughter named Carol Lou Workman.

h. Henry Raymond Workman was born 15 February 1915 in Gentry County, Missouri and died 29 October 1998 in Missouri.  He married Maxine DAKAN on 3 December 1945.  Maxine was born 1917.  They had two daughters:  Linda Sue Workman and Jean Ann Workman.

4. Frank Nath Workman was born 20 March 1868 in Gentry County, Missouri and died 5 July 1895 in Gentry County, Missouri.  He married Oriella JAMES on 8 February 1893 and died 1½ years later.

5. Belle May Workman was born 23 May 1870 in Gentry County, Missouri and died 6 February 1925 in Gentry County, Missouri.  Belle married Charles RUSSELL, son of Lewis Russell, on 20 December 1891 in Gentry County, Missouri.  Charles was born about 1868 in Iowa and died sometime after 1930.  They had a son.

a. Guy A. Russell who was born about 1902 in Gentry County, Missouri.  Guy married Tabitha S. [maiden name unknown] about 1921.  Tabitha was born about 1903 in Missouri.  They had a daughter named Dolores A. Russell (born about 1922).

6. Ella June Workman was born 23 May 1870 in Jackson Township, Gentry County, Missouri and died 15 August 1881 in Gentry County, Missouri.

7. George Workman was born 1 October 1872 in Jackson Township, Gentry County, Missouri and died 22 March 1874 in Gentry County, Missouri.

8. Lucinda Mae Workman known as “Lucy” was born 3 May 1875 in Jackson Township, Gentry County, Missouri and died 23 February 1921.  Lucy married J. Edward LONG on 1 November 1893 in Gentry County, Missouri.  They had 2 sons.

a. Clayton Long was born 1903 and died 1912.

b. Charles Long was born 1906 and died 1956.

9. Harry Phillip Workman was born 9 October 1877 in Gentry County, Missouri and died 27 January 1968 in Missouri.  Harry married Anna L. MORGAN on 14 March 1900 in Gentry County, Missouri.    Anna was born October 1880 in Missouri.  They had two children: Basil Workman (19 April 1906-June 1967) and Doris A. Workman (born about 1917).

10. Ernest Workman was born 30 September 1879 in Gentry County, Missouri and died 24 April 1956 in Anaconda, Montana.  Ernest married Mary Alice MILLER, daughter of James Monroe Miller and Elizabeth Lewis Emerson, on 22 May 1901 in Gentry County, Missouri.  Mary was born 18 January 1878 in Gentry County, Missouri and died 26 September 1961 in Clackamas County, Oregon.  They had five children.

a. A son who was born 26 April 1902 and died 26 April 1902.

b. Glenn Workman was born 31 August 1903 in Gentry County and died 1 August 1984 in Cascade County, Montana.  Glenn was first married to Neva GROOM whom he married on 1 December 1922.   This marriage ended in divorce.  In the 1930 census, Glenn was living in Anaconda, Montana.    In 1937, Glenn married Ruth Elizabeth RASTALL in Great Falls, Montana.  Ruth was born 29 October 1913 in Klein, Montana and died on 23 May 1983 in Great Falls, Montana.  They had six children.

c. Wilbur Lester Workman was born 5 September 1907 in Gentry County, Missouri and died 22 December 1975 in Riverside, California.  He married Anna Delia PILON on 8 July 1929 in Anaconda, Montana.   She was born 3 January 1914 in Dillon, Montana and died in Riverside, California in January 1989.  They had two children.

d. Ora J. Workman was born 17 January 1909 in Gentry County, Missouri and died 18 September 1977 in Salem, Oregon.  He married Mary H. BYRNE on 30 October 1937.  Mary was born 8 May 1912 and died November 1990 in Oregon.  They had three children.

e. Ernest “Leroy” Workman was born 15 June 1918 in Gentry County, Missouri and died 5 October 2000 in Hemet, California.  Leroy first married Leota Marian LYON, daughter of Matthew Adrian Lyon and Neva Blodgett, who was born 22 December 1918 in Butte, Montana and died 5 December 1983 in Washington.  Leroy and Leota had one daughter.  Leroy later married Ione Mae ROGER on 8 April 1944 in Great Falls, Montana.  Leroy and Inoe had two daughters.

11. John Phillip Workman was born 4 September 1881 in Gentry County, Missouri and died 16 March 1970 in Gentry County, Missouri.  He was born 5 months after his father’s death.  In the 1930 census, John was single, 48 years old and working as a farmer.  It seems that he never married.

 

MARY JANE ALLSHOUSE (1847-1923)

Mary Jane Allshouse was born 29 March 1847 in Greensburg, Westmoreland County, PA and died 28 July 1923 in Archie, Cass County, Missouri.  She married Enoch BARKER, son of Lewis and Ann Barker, on 1 January 1873 in McDonough County, Illinois.  He was born 15 September 1848 in Richland County, Ohio and died 15 January 1918 in Archie, Cass County, Missouri.  Mary Jane and Enoch are buried in Sciota Spring Creek Cemetery, Sciota, McDonough County, Illinois.  They had eight children.

1.  Maude B. Barker born January 1874 in McDonough County, Illinois and died 1955.  Maude did not marry.  In the 1930 census, Maude is living with her brother, Owen, and his family at the age of 56 and single.  She is buried in Good Hope Cemetery, McDonough County, Illinois.

2.  Owen Barker born 8 April 1875 in McDonough County, Illinois and died 17 April 1933 in McDonough County, Illinois.  He married Clara J. HEATON, daughter of Samuel and Mary Heaton, about 1903 in McDonough County, Illinois.  Clara was born 13 February 1873 in Sciota, Illinois and died in McDonough County, IL in 1958.  They are buried in Good Hope Cemetery.   They had two children.

a. Emmett V. Barker was born 24 September 1905 in McDonough County, Illinois and died April 1976 in McDonough County, Illinois.  He married Fern Marie FURREY who was born 31 August 1907 and died 9 September 1988 in McDonough County, Illinois.

b. Dorothy E. Barker was born 1911 in McDonough County, Illinois and died June 2004 in McDonough County, Illinois.

3.  Ira Barker born 13 December 1876 in McDonough County, Illinois and died 20 December 1949 in McDonough County, Illinois.  He married Alice “Maud” HEAD, daughter of Franklin Pierce Head and Margaret Ann Tipton.  Maud was born 114 March 1877 in McDonough County, Illinois and died 11 October 1961 in McDonough County, Illinois.  They are buried in Oakwood Cemetery, McDonough County, IL.  They had one daughter.

a. Esther Eloise Barker was born 24 February 1908 and died 18 April 2000 in McDonough County, Illinois.  She is buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Macomb, McDonough County, Illinois.

4.  Cora Luella Barker born 4 December 1878 in Sciota, McDonough County, Illinois and died 11 November 1980 in Macomb, Illinois.  She married Leonard Frederick GILLS, son of George and Marian Gills, about 1903.  Leonard was born 30 May 1880 in McDonough County, Illinois and died 18 March 1945.  Cora seemingly changed her birth year to 1882 in order to appear younger than her husband, but in the 1880 census, Cora is listed as 1 year old so the birth year of 1882 is incorrect.  They are buried in Good Hope Cemetery.  They had three children.

a. Vera Laverne Gills was born 15 August 1904 in McDonough County, Illinois and died there 15 February 1992.  She married Robert Elton COX who was born 5 March 1903 in McDonough County, Illinois and died 7 February 1963 in Washington, DC.  They are buried in Fort Lincoln Cemetery, Prince George’s County, Maryland.  They had a daughter, Lois Robert “Scotty” Cox who was born 2 May 1938 in Kentucky and died 26 June 1973 in Bethesda, Maryland.  She was first married to a Mr. MILLER and had a daughter named Marilois.  She next married Rodney Thomas INGLES in 1963 and had a son named Bradley R. Ingels.   Scotty is buried in George Washington Cemetery, Prince George’s County, Maryland.

b. Derald B. Gills was born 17 September 1907 in McDonough County, Illinois and died 17 March 1994 in McDonough County, Illinois.  He first married Rita McDONALD, daughter of Fred McDonald, on 28 February 1929 in Davenport, Iowa.  Rita was born about 1906 in Illinois.  He later married Ena J. MELVIN, daughter of Charles Ervin Melvin and Hazel Painter, on 23 June 1943 in Nashua, Iowa.  Ena was born 24 May 1907 in McDonough County, Illinois and died 19 October 2009 in McDonough County, Illinois.   Derald and Ena were third cousins.  They are buried in Good Hope Cemetery, McDonough County, Illinois.

c. Frederick Eugene Gills was born 26 May 1913 in McDonough County, Illinois and died 5 August 1987 in Walwortha County, Wisconsin. He married Eloise WEST who was born 19 December 1915 in Indiana and died 25 February 2013 in DuPage County, Illinois.

5. John Davis Barker born 27 August 1881 in McDonough County, Illinois and died 24 September 1954.  He married Clara Edith PHILLIPS about 1912.  Clara was born 3 March 1891 in Missouri and died 1969.  They are buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery, McDonough County, Illinois.  They had five children.

a. Idella L. Barker was born about 1912 in Missouri.

b. Clell P. Barker was born 1 July 1920 in Missouri and died 8 February 2003 in McDonough County, Illinois.

c. Richard Keith Barker was born 25 January 1923 in Cass County, Missouri and died 1 August 1925 in Cass County, Missouri.  He is buried in Crescent Hill Cemetery, Bates County, Missouri.

d. Robert Kent Barker was born 25 January 1923 in Cass County, Missouri and died 1 September 1923 in Cass County, Missouri.  He is buried in Crescent Hill Cemetery.

e. John “Dean” Barker was born 20 November 1926 in McDonough County, Illinois and died 28 November 2001 in McDonough County, Illinois.  He married Loretta Jane FISHER, daughter of Truman Fisher and Edith Smith, on 25 August 1962.  Loretta was born 18 October 1927 in LaHarpe, Illinois and died 31 August 2006 in McDonough County, Illinois.  They are buried in Good Hope Cemetery.

6.  Israel Allshouse Barker born 3 October 1883 in McDonough County, Illinois and died 10 December 1964.   He married Stella Elizabeth RUPE about 1909.  Elizabeth was born 9 March 1881 in Missouri and died October 1963.  They are buried in Oakwood Cemetery.  They had one son.

a. Donald Rupe Barker was born 8 January 1914 in McDonough County, Illinois and died April 1986.  He married Vera J. SHORES who was born 5 March 1915 and died 28 December 1996 in Cass County, Illinois.

7.  Brittie Edythe Barker was born 25 August 1886 in McDonough County, Illinois and died 28 August 1887 in McDonough County, Illinois.  She was buried in Sciota Spring Creek Cemetery.

8.  Infant Son Barker was born 15 August 1888 in McDonough County, Illinois and died 10 March 1889 in McDonough County, Illinois.  He is buried in Sciota Spring Creek Cemetery.

 

HANNAH ALLSHOUSE (1849-1906)

Hannah Allshouse was born 5 September 1849 in Greensburg, Westmoreland County, PA and died 17 December 1906 in Sciota, McDonough County, Illinois.  In her father’s obituary of 1903, she is listed as “Miss Hannah Allshouse of Sciota, IL”.  It seems that Hannah never married.

 

ARABELLA ALLSHOUSE (1853-1899)

Arabella Allshouse known as “Belle” was born 28 February 1853 in Westmoreland County, PA and died 23 May 1899 in Blandinsville, McDonough County, Illinois.  She married John M. DAVIS, son of R.W. and Eliza Warner, on 18 September 1873 in McDonough County, Illinois.   John M. Davis was born 13 February 1852 in Ashland County, Ohio and died 24 January 1941 in Blandinsville, Illinois.

 

HENRY KNAPPENBERGER ALLSHOUSE (1855-1934)

Henry Knappenberger Allshouse was born 7 March 1855 in Westmoreland County, PA and died 2 September 1934 in Sciota, McDonough County, Illinois.  According to a 1929 article in The McDonough News, “Mr. Allshouse with his parents migrated from Pennsylvania in 1855 when he was one year old.  The trip was made by boat down the Ohio River and the Mississippi River to Warsaw and then overland to Blandinsville.”  He married Elma RINEHART, daughter of John Rinehart and Elizabeth Pace, on 19 February 1880 in McDonough County, Illinois.  Elma was born 27 August 1861 in Rehobeth, Ohio and died 9 April 1939 in Sciota, McDonough County, Illinois.  Henry was the owner of a general store in Sciota, Illinois for 39 years.  This couple had three children.

John “Willis” Allshouse was born 7 March 1881 in Sciota, McDonough County, Illinois and died 4 November 1959 in Pratt, Kansas.  He first married Nona Belle SMITH on 5 January 1910 in Hancock County, Illinois.  Nona was born 30 October 1888 in Hancock County, Illinois and died 17 December 1921 in McDonough County, Illinois.  John and Nona had a daughter.  In the 1930 census, Willis Allshouse is a widow with his daughter, Mae, age 19 and single, living with his parents and working at the family store.  Sometime after 1930, Willis married a second time to Neva [maiden name unknown].  Neva was born 3 September 1883 and died January 1975 in McDonough County, Illinois.

a. Elma “Mae” Allshouse was the daughter of Willis and Nona.  She was born 11 September 1910 in Hancock County, Illinois and died 1 April 1982 in Macomb, McDonough County, Illinois.  She married Franklin Henry HENSLEY on 21 February 1937 in Lewisitown, Fulton County, Illinois.  Franklin was born 12 August 1910 in Lone Tree, Missouri and died 8 March 1976 in Macomb, McDonough County, Illinois.  They had two sons.

2. Frank Oris Allshouse was born 10 April 1884 in Illinois and died July 1980 in Phoenix, Arizona.  In 1908 this family was living in Oklahoma; in 1910 they were living in Illinois; in 1915 they lived in Iowa; in 1920 they were living in Keokuk, Lee County, Iowa; and in 1930 they were living in Burlington, Iowa.  Frank married Gladys [maiden name unknown] about 1907.  Gladys was born 16 September 1889 in Illinois and died 31 August 1938.  They had three sons.

a. Homer E. Allshouse, MD was born 5 June 1908 in Oklahoma and died 13 February 1995 in Phoenix, Arizona.

b. Francis H. Allshouse was born 2 March 1910 in Illinois and died 5 April 1946.

c. John Harold Allshouse was born 25 August 1915 in Iowa and died 27 November 1996 in Davenport, Scott County, Illinois.

3. Austin Henry Allshouse was born 24 April 1888 in Sciota, McDonough County, Illinois and died 4 June 1954 in San Diego, California.  He married Ina Mae BECK about 1909 who was born 3 December 1889 in Astoria, Illinois and died 13 September 1976 in Oceanside, California.  This couple had three children.

a. Ruth O. Allshouse was born 16 June 1910 in Sciota, Illinois and died 21 November 1974 in Oceanside, California.   She married Donald Hollis HENDRICKSON who was born 23 September 1909 in Illinois and died 2 January 1997 in San Diego, California.

b. Russell Eugene Allshouse was born 6 January 1913 in Sciota, Illinois and died 12 August 1978 in San Antonio, Texas.  He married Hazel Irene HAGAN and then married Jeannette Elizabeth LEGG on 18 February 1939.  Jeannette was born 1 December 1917 and died 15 January 1993.

c. Mildred E. Allshouse was born 1916 in Sciota, McDonough County, Illinois.  She married Albert HELMS.
